You might already know Radiohead’s current video plus the nerdy fact that it’s been done without cameras at all, but different types of 3d scanners. That’s a nice idea so far, and very well done!
Now Radiohead and the producers of the video released the data Thom Yorke’s head is built out of in the video. Yes, and the other scenes as well, in form of 3d coordinates in a bunch of well sorted csv files. A lot of numbers for playing around, hell yeah.

Of course there is a Youtube Group for the remixes - here. A nice idea is e.g. the Lego version.

letzten samstag im club planetarium, wien: edIT bringt meine sohlen zum glühen. „das fresheste seit langem“ meint andi, da kann ich mich nur anschließen. der typ rockt, egal ob auf cd oder live.

das debut „crying over pros for no reason“ von 2004 ließ schon erkennen, was auf dem zweiten album (mit vielen hochkarätigen features) zur perfektion gebracht wird: edIT aka edward ma bringt neues, fettes, eigenständiges ins hiphop-genre. ein bisschen wie 2003 als der damals 18-jährige dizzee rascal den burner „boy in da corner“ released.

saywee hat den dazugehörigen flyer gebastelt (thx for da tickets!):

als draufgabe hab‘ ich einen the glitch mob promo-mix (tgm=edIT, OOAH, BORETA, KRADDY) abgestaubt.

bereits vor zwei jahren haben mein vater, mein bruder und ich das erste exemplar dieses buchs fertiggestellt. seit kurzem halten wir die überarbeitete auflage in händen. ich bin zufrieden. kleinigkeiten gibts immer zu beanstanden, aber das wichtigste ziel ist erreicht: eine erinnerung abseits flüchtiger bits und bytes zu schaffen. etwas handfestes – die entsprechung zu den arbeiten meines großvaters. ich glaube es würde ihm auch gefallen.

nicht mehr ganz aktuell, aber durch wiederholtes hören immer wichtiger für mich geworden: die remixvariante des aktuellen portishead-albums von the noise/floor-crew. reinhören oder runterladen auf trash menagerie.

da ich vom neuen album im original noch immer nur teilweise überzeugt bin, halte ich die aufgefettete version für eine willkommene ergänzung. damit soll keine „was ist besser“-diskussion gestartet werden. die alben können schön nebeneinander stehen, finde ich.

bei fm4 gibt’s jetzt eine sendung, die nennt sich fm4-soundsystem.
da wird dazu aufgefordert eigene mixes zu basteln, die dann evtl. im radio gespielt werden.
dazu heißt’s:

„Das FM4 Soundsystem will eure Sommer-Mixe. Die schönsten werden gesendet.
Länge: 20 Minuten.
Stile: Ja.
Abwechslung: Ist wichtig!
Kategorien: Still/Prickelnd/Arschbombe (bitte auswählen)“

als kommentar schreiben zwei buben:“mir is beim abmixen erst klar geworden wie verdammt kurz 20 minuten sind…“
und
„Ja, die 20min machen die Trackauswahl durchaus schwer. Da gehen sich höchstens 4–5 Nummern aus.“

außer, dass ich mich natürlich beim ersten kommentar verlesen hab‘ und beim überfliegen „mir is beim abwixen erst klar geworden wie verdammt kurz 20 centimeter sind…“ interpretiert habe, hab‘ ich mir außerdem gedacht, dass 20 minuten auch verdammt lang sein können.

der beweis, dass man in 20 minuten nicht nur „4–5 nummern“ schieben kann, sondern schon in 6 : 23 minuten 146, sei hiermit erbracht. und gratis dazu gibts ein fettes pdf.

und: genau, die musik klingt holprig. passt ja oft auch gar nicht geschwindigkeitsmäßig. und überhaupt, wat is dat denn?
die idee war, liedfragmente textmäßig so zu verknüpfen, dass jeweils das/die letzte(n) worte vom einen, zum/zu den ersten wort(en) des nächsten fragments passt.

auf flickr gibt’s ein paar fotos vom em-finalwochenende in wien. wobei die fotos mit der em so wenig zu tun haben wie ich im normalfall mit fußball (d.h. nicht-em-zeit und nicht-wm-zeit). und sonst: abrissbude zerstören, grafitti-spray-versuche und bewusst kein foto vom enttäuschenden „ichfeieremichselbstweilichdasimgegensatzzuauflegengutkann“-fatboyslim-auftritt. yo

Julius von Bismarck did one of the most stunning projects I’ve seen for a long time - the Image Fulgerator. He describes as as follows:

“The Image Fulgurator is a device for physically manipulating photographs. It intervenes when a photo is being taken, without the photographer being able to detect anything. The manipulation is only visible on the photo afterwards.
In principle, the Fulgurator can be used anywhere where there is another camera nearby that is being used with a flash. It operates via a kind of reactive flash projection that enables an image to be projected on an object exactly at the moment when someone else is photographing it.”

Some time ago i was reading an article at wired.com about the Phoenix Mars Lander giving regular updates and answering questons over Twitter.
Last week i met some people who are really hooked on twitter (one claiming that he would never date a girl whos not using twitter o_o).

Your updates are public by default but you can also restrict availability to people in your followers list. You can also define which peoples updates you want to recieve at your devices. Twitter can be used to spread information instantly and completely mobile as updates can be published and recieved by your mobile phone.
